All Major PlayStation September 2026 State of Play Announcements, Game Trailers & More

Sony just wrapped up a packed September 2026 State of Play showcase, which was full of surprise announcements, release date for many big upcoming games. GTA 6 controllers were announced alongside Maneater 2, Wolverine, and major PS5 updates.

Rockstar and Sony revealed two limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers. They come in Black and White versions. Both controllers launch November 19 for $84.99 in the US. Pre-orders open September 10 at 10am local time.

The show also offered a fresh look at Marvel’s Wolverine. Sony confirmed the PS5 exclusive launches this month. Wolverine battles Trask’s Sentinels and fights alongside Sabretooth during the new footage.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation also landed with a massive update. The remake trilogy finale launches April 8, 2027. Square Enix showed ten minutes of fresh gameplay during the broadcast. The showcase also confirmed a Final Fantasy Resonance demo.

The surprise announcement of Maneater 2 instantly became one of the show’s biggest reveals. The shark-focused sequel is scheduled for 2027.

Crimson Desert also received its first expansion, Chartering the Unknown. It adds new systems, underwater exploration, and what appears to be base building.

Metro 2039 received a February 4, 2027 release date. Its PS5 Pro footage showed detailed environments and atmospheric lighting.

Until Dawn 2 is coming January 26, 2027. Gundam Rogue Orbit follows March 5, while Fate/Extra Record arrives January 28.

Sony has also confirmed a LEGO PlayStation with 1,911 pieces. It recreates the original 1994 console at nearly 1:1 scale.

State of Play Japan then pushed things further. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, Where the Seeds Fall, Rhapsody in Scarlet, and Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance were among the reveals. Check out all the trailers below:

Sony also confirmed Ghost of Yōtei’s Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. It launches October 1 with the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition.
