This week, Microsoft rolled out the May 2019 Patch Tuesday Updates for different versions of Windows 10. It looks like the series of Windows 10 updates does not end here.

Fast Ring Insiders recently got access to a new build: Windows 10 20H1 preview build 18898

Microsoft started to work on 20H1 builds even though Insiders in the Release Preview Ring are currently testing the May 2019 Update. This feature update is expected to land at the end of this month.

New Disk type option

Microsoft rolled out a new feature in Task Manager’s Performance tab. The tab now shows what type disks you have. This feature will help users to differentiate among their disks based on the disk type.

DWM crash bug fix

Some Windows 10 users reported DWN crash issues on their Windows 10 systems. This bug was introduced by some recent releases and Microsoft fixed the issue in Windows 10 20H1.

Explorer.exe crash issues resolved

Microsoft addressed a bug that caused explorer.exe to crash. Microsoft fixed pcshell.dll issues introduced by some recent builds.

Japanese IME settings bug fix

Previously, users failed to apply Japanese IME settings for some desktop bridge apps. Microsoft recommended Windows 10 users to reset their application to resolve the issue. You need to navigate to app Settings >> Apps >> Choose your app >> Advanced Options >> Reset

We can not deny the fact that Windows 10 users and developers often experience bugs with Insider preview builds.

Therefore, downloading and installing the update on your production machine is not a good idea. Microsoft acknowledged a long list of known bugs that came along with 20H1 release.
