apex legends: breakout update

Even since it was released on February 4, 2019, Apex Legends has emerged as one of the best battle royale games. But a few had been facing issues, some with performance and others with the gameplay.

With Apex Legends: Breakout, the 20th season of the game, Respawn Entertainment has made significant changes, the biggest in the game’s history. It will drastically improve the gameplay and allow better matchmaking.

What are game updates coming in Apex Legends: Breakout?

The biggest change introduced with Apex Legends: Breakout is the Legend Upgrade system, which will allow you to customize and tailor the Legend as per your play style.

Now, you can earn EVO points from several core actions, some of which reward the entire squad. Besides, earning EVO will now level up the Legend.

There is a big change planned for the Ranked experience. Now, instead of Ladder Points (LP), you will have Ranked Points (RP). The latter will also be used for matchmaking, retiring the previous tier-based lobby system.

Apex Legends: Breakout will have a more transparent scoring system, and the hidden skill rating won’t be a factor in scoring or matchmaking anymore.

Also, Apex Legends has finally got the Performance Mode. Already available in several popular titles, the mode makes certain quick graphical adjustments along with other changes to deliver 120 FPS (Frames per Second).

To enable Performance Mode, you need to head to Video Settings in Apex Legends. Remember, it will only work on supported output devices. So make sure you have a monitor that can run games at 120 FPS.

Thunderdome

Besides, you now have a new mixtape map, Thunderdome, which is touted as the deadliest entertainment venue. Inspired by the arena in Kings Canyon, Thunderdome was developed with different playstyles in mind.
