Microsoft has updated Edge Game Assist, an in-game browser designed for PC gaming, with new features and improvements, including support for World of Warcraft, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Monster Hunter Wilds.
This means you can now use Edge Game Assist to help you complete quests, do your dailies, and make sure you have everything you need during your raid or M+ run.
Alongside the new support for these games, the April update for Game Assist makes the platform default to desktop versions of websites for better compatibility. It supports Edge sidebar apps alongside browser tabs.
It also expands extension support to sidebar apps and automatically switches to new tabs created by the webpage.
The April patch for Edge Game Assist also fixes many issues: the app will no longer open dozens of tabs at once. Based on users’ feedback, the Edge Canary/Dev version of the app will also remove the sidebar to maximize space for the webpage.
Other enhancements include an improved UI, streamlined navigation, and new keyboard shortcuts for managing tabs. These updates aim to enhance the gaming experience and make Game Assist more user-friendly, and complement the ones released last month.
