Edge Game Assist extensions

Microsoft did not release anything for Edge Game Assist in February, but the company returned in March to release the biggest patch for the tool yet, since it was released.

The Redmond-based tech giant has released updates for Game Assist on Edge Stable and a different set of updates for Game Assist on Edge Canary/Dev. One of the most important enhancements is the ability to install extensions on the tool the same way you would install them on Edge.

This includes, of course, ad blockers, as Microsoft specifies in the official release notes. What does this mean? Game Assist will be able to block any ads that might pop up during gameplay. But you can also install other extensions to use with the tool.

Elsewhere, the March update for Game Assist adds support for more games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Avowed, Civilization VII, Grand Theft Auto V, and Rocket League, as well as an array of improvements and enhancements to the tool’s overall functionality.

For example, the browsing history will be correctly saved to users’ profiles, the Game Assist widget has been redesigned to fit better on the screen, and the tool can open links from sidebar apps.
