  4. Select the startup programs and click the Disable button.
  5. Restart your PC and check if the event ID 4662 persists.

2. End tasks for background apps via Settings

  1. Press the Windows + I key to open the Settings app.
  2. Select Apps from the left pane and choose Installed apps.

  5. Repeat the process for all apps you want to restrict background permissions.
