Many users are wondering if you can have multiple profiles in Firefox, and the answer is yes. This is simpler than you think, and in today’s guide, we’re going to show you how to use this feature.

How can I use multiple profiles in Firefox?

1. Create a new Firefox profile

  1. In Firefox go to about:profiles.

  2. Next, click on Create a New Profile.
     
  3. Enter the name of the profile and click on Finish.

2. Switch to a new profile

  1. Once again, go to about:profiles.
  2. Locate the newly created profile.
  3. Choose Launch profile in a new browser. This is useful if you want to run multiple Firefox profiles at once.
     
  4. Use Set as the default profile if you want to always use the new profile when starting Firefox.

How can I create a shortcut for multiple Firefox profiles?

  1. Right-click your desktop and choose New and select Shortcut.

  2. In the Location field enter "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P "WindowsReport" -no-remote

    Remember to replace WindowsReport with your profile name.
  3. Enter the desired name for this shortcut.

Is there a Firefox extension for multiple profiles?

  1. Visit Profile Switcher for the Firefox page and click on Add to Firefox.
     
  2. Once installed, click the Profile Switcher extension.
  3. Select the desired profile.

Where are Firefox profiles stored?

You can usually find profiles in the following location: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Are Firefox profiles synced?

No, Firefox profiles aren’t synced by default, and if you want to sync a profile, you’ll need to enable Firefox Sync for it specifically. You need to do this for all profiles that you’re using.
