After weeks of rumors surrounding both the Yoga Book Pro 3D and the Legion Go Fold, Lenovo has now officially revealed its foldable gaming handheld at MWC 2026. The Legion Go Fold Concept stands out as one of the event’s most eye-catching prototypes.

According to The Verge, the device remains a proof-of-concept rather than a confirmed retail product. Lenovo has not announced pricing or a release timeline.

A Foldable Display Built for Gaming Flexibility

The Legion Go Fold features a foldable POLED display that expands from 7.7 inches to 11.6 inches. The panel reportedly offers a 2435×1712 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and up to 500 nits of brightness.

Lenovo designed the system to adapt to multiple usage modes.

Standard Handheld Mode uses the 7.7-inch screen with attached controllers. Vertical Split-Screen Mode allows gaming on one half while running another app on the other.

Horizon Full Screen Mode unlocks the full 11.6-inch display for immersive gameplay. Expanded Desktop Mode turns the device into a laptop-style setup with a stand, keyboard, and touchpad.

Intel Core Ultra 7 Inside

Unlike previous Legion Go models powered by AMD silicon, this concept uses an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor.

The system pairs the chip with 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and reportedly 1TB of storage. A 48Whr battery powers the device.

Total weight comes in at about 868 grams, including 638 grams for the tablet and 230 grams for the detachable controllers.

Modular Controllers With Extra Functionality

The detachable controllers remain central to Lenovo’s adaptability-first design philosophy.

The right controller can function as a vertical mouse for more precise navigation. A built-in mini screen can act as a touchpad, display performance metrics, adjust settings, and support custom hotkeys.

Accessories shown at MWC include a folio-style stand, a keyboard with trackpad, and a grip mount that merges both controllers into a wireless gamepad.

Lenovo describes the Legion Go Fold as an extension of the Legion Go lineup’s flexible approach to portable gaming. However, hardware details and commercialization plans remain unconfirmed.

Beyond gaming, Lenovo also showcased updates to its ThinkPad T-Series lineup, reinforcing its strategy of experimenting across both productivity and entertainment categories.
