Nintendo Switch 2 prices will increase in the UK and the Republic of Ireland from September 2026, adding to the worldwide Switch 2 price increases Nintendo has already confirmed.

The company has started preparing customers for the change, with some Switch 2 demo kiosks displaying warnings about the September price hike.

Nintendo Switch 2 will cost £419.99 in the UK

Nintendo Switch 2 currently costs £395.99 in the UK. From September 2026, Nintendo will raise the price to £419.99.

That represents a £24 increase for the standard Switch 2 console.

The Nintendo Store United Kingdom will update its pricing when the new prices take effect.

Switch 2 price rises to €499.99 in Ireland

Nintendo has also confirmed a price increase for the Republic of Ireland.

The Switch 2 currently costs €469.99 and will rise to €499.99 in September, an increase of €30.

The pricing change applies specifically to the Republic of Ireland and does not apply to Northern Ireland.

The Nintendo Store Ireland will also switch to the new pricing in September.

Switch 2 prices are also increasing in the U.S. and Europe

Nintendo had previously confirmed similar increases in other markets.

In the U.S., the Switch 2 will increase from $449.99 to $499.99, making the console $50 more expensive.

Across most European countries, the price will rise from €469.99 to €499.99, matching the new price in the Republic of Ireland.

The September increases mean Nintendo Switch 2 is getting more expensive as its generation progresses instead of receiving an early price reduction.

Nintendo recently reported that 61.5% of its software sales are now digital. The company has also confirmed its Gamescom 2026 lineup.
