Although on the Picasa website in the list of compatible operating systems, Windows 8, Windows 10 is not present, I did install it and I can say with certainty that it works great. So, if you were wondering if Picasa works on Windows 10, Windows 8, then the answer is a definite YES.
Users can download and install the 3rd version of Picasa from the official website, and as you know, it is free of charge (download link will be provided at the end of the article). Once you have installed the program, it will automatically start scanning your computer for photos.
If you plan to use Picasa on your Windows 8, Windows 10 computer for uploading photos to your Google+ profile, then you will need to log on to your account by using the link at the top right corner of the Picasa window. Furthermore after the scan is complete, you will be able to upload any photos or albums to your profile by clicking on the Sync button on the right of each folder. The process is very simple, like all other Google products.
In terms of editing, not much has changes in the latest updates, so users can still make the classic modifications to their photos, like balance colors, contrast, rotate and add certain effects. One new feature that was added is the Side-by-Side editing, where users can have the original version of the photo right next to the edited one, so they can see the differences better.
Once your Google+ account is linked to Picasa on your Windows 8, Windows 10 computer, before you upload photos, you can tag your friends and then upload them. This feature makes it easier for users to completely edit their photos before they upload them.
