sharepoint agents

We unveiled to you last week that Microsoft wants to introduce an agent usage statistics area in SharePoint to observe and analyze specific stats regarding the AI agents on the platform.

It seems that the Redmond-based tech giant will integrate a series of AI capabilities that encompass SharePoint’s integration with Teams and allow users to build and edit agents directly on these platforms.

These capabilities were unveiled as entries in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap and will be rolled out from March to June 2025.

For example, starting in March, SharePoint agents will be available in the Teams App Store, and users can find and add them from there. Once added, Teams members can use the SharePoint agents in channels, a new enhancement that’s also coming next month.

However, for those who won’t find the right agent, SharePoint will also allow them to build their agents for use on a SharePoint site.

In May, Microsoft will add the ability to edit SharePoint sites’ AI agents without creating a new agent.

In June, SharePoint will be updated to host multiple agents as participants in Teams chat or meetings. The same month. Microsoft will make SharePoint agents available in Teams mobile.

As you can see, there will be a lot of AI integration into the SharePoint platform. IT admins and managers, especially, should be aware of the upcoming changes.
