SharePoint AI

Microsoft has unveiled a new feature for its SharePoint platform. This feature allows site page authors to add “SharePoint agents” directly to their pages. The enhancement, announced in a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, simplifies interactions for end users and provides a more efficient and seamless experience.

SharePoint agents are designed to assist users with tasks like navigating pages, locating information, and engaging with content. By utilizing the newly introduced “agent web part,” authors can easily embed these agents into site pages.

Once added, visitors can access and interact with the agents without leaving the page, streamlining their experience and reducing the need for external tools or navigation.

Here’s what the entry says:

SharePoint site page authors can add SharePoint agents to their pages with an agent web part, allowing end users to easily access and interact with SharePoint agents directly from the site pages.

Integrating SharePoint agents offers a practical solution for organizations looking to provide tailored support and guidance to their users directly within their site pages.

The integration will happen in July.
