Microsoft released the KB5052084 build to insiders of the Windows 11 Beta Channel. In addition to the dozens of fixes the patch brings to the operating system, the Redmond-based tech giant is also making some significant changes to File Explorer’s Context Menu.
More specifically, the company is testing a new option for the Desktop Spotlight’s topics and the option to access Ask Copilot right there by simply right-clicking.
The new enhancement is currently hidden in the build, as spotted by tech enthusiast @phantomofearth, and it can be enabled using ViveTool and a unique command.

In the official blog post, Microsoft mentions that the Desktop Spotlight icon is enhanced with additional changes, but it doesn’t specify exactly what changes are needed.
We’re beginning to roll out some additional changes to the Desktop Spotlight icon for Windows Insiders to help with discoverability. These include changes to the icon color/backplate and moving the icon to the bottom right position on your desktop.
Elsewhere, with KB5052084, Microsoft continues the tradition of improving File Explorer in Windows 11, similar to the latest Release Preview build.
