Solution 1 – Download the latest Windows 10 updates

Windows will now check for available updates. If any updates are available, Windows will download and install them in the background. After updating Windows, check if the problem still appears.

Solution 2 – Download the latest drivers

Solution 3 – Install the older version of AMD drivers

Few users reported that VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR error can be fixed by changing your graphic card settings. According to users, they had to change the settings in Intel Control Panel and Nvidia Control Panel to performance instead of quality.

If you’re using Nvidia graphics you should also set the Physx to default in Nvidia Control Panel. If you don’t use Nvidia card, you can also change the similar settings in Catalyst Control Center.

Solution 5 – Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome

Few users reported this error while watching videos in Chrome, and according to them, the only solution is to disable hardware acceleration in Chrome. To do that, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click the Menu button in Chrome and choose Settings.

  3. Navigate to System section and uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.

  4. Restart Chrome to apply changes.

Solution 6 – Change the size of graphics memory in BIOS

If you use integrated graphics, you can fix this problem by changing the size of graphics memory in BIOS. To see how to access BIOS and how to change the size of graphics memory, we advise you to check your motherboard manual for detailed instructions.

Users reported that setting the graphics memory to 128MB for Intel graphics fixed the problem, so be sure to try this solution, even if you don’t have integrated Intel graphics.

Solution 7 – Reset Windows 10

BSoD errors such as VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR can be caused by certain software, and to fix this problem you can perform Windows 10 reset. We have to warn you that this procedure is similar to clean install and it will delete all files from your C partition, so be sure to back them up.

During this procedure you might also need a bootable USB flash drive with Windows 10, so be sure to create one. To start Windows 10 reset, do the following:

  1. Restart your computer few times to start Automatic Repair.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything. During this step you might be asked to insert Windows 10 installation media, so be ready to do that.
  3. Select Only the drive where Windows is installed > Just remove my files and click the Reset button.
  4. Follow the steps to complete the reset.

Solution 8 – Check for faulty hardware

Your hardware can often cause these types of errors to occur, therefore you need to find and replace the faulty hardware. Few users reported that faulty graphic card caused this error, and replacing the card fixed the problem.

Bear in mind that sometimes certain hardware isn’t compatible with your current configuration, or with Windows 10, and that can cause this and many other errors to appear. Few users reported issues with old TV cards, and according to them, removing the TV card fixed the error permanently.
