Microsoft rolled out a new build of Windows 10 19H1 for those of you on the Fast Ring. The users in the Windows Insider Program have received the Windows 10 build 18342 with a handful of fixes and several new improvements.
The tech giant continues to test Windows Sandbox, add changes for the Windows Subsystem for Linux, File Explorer, and gaming improvements with the State of Decay game.
The Windows 10 build 18342 provides early access to the latest improvements lined up as a part of the update expected to release next month.

The recent version of Windows 10 brings the following features and changes to the operating system.
1. Windows Subsystem for Linux
The Linux files part of the Windows Subsystem for Linux environment is now accessible to those who use Linux on Windows 10. You can either use File Explorer or command line to access the file You can navigate to \wsl$ in order to see a list of running distributions. Moreover, the files and accessible at \wsl$distro_name.

2. File Explorer
Previously, Windows users were not allowed to use a dot (.alex) at the beginning of the filename. While the recent April 2019 Update, the File Explorer now allows a dot to rename a file. Right now, the users are also not allowed to use any of the following characters in the filename / : * ? ” < > |.
3. Windows Sandbox
The update brings support configuration files and hotkeys in full screen are also available in the Windows Sandbox experience. The configuration files can be used to configure vGPU, networking and shared folders.
4. Gaming Improvements
Microsoft has lined up awesome gaming improvements in the State of Decay game. The gaming enhancements are currently available to the users in the Xbox Insider Hub. If you have enabled the parental controls, the game is expected to run without any issues.
5. Minor Improvements
Apart from the above mentioned major changes and features, some minor improvements have also been included in the update package. Microsoft renamed the Windows Light theme to now be called as Windows (light). As the pointer changes its shape, the Magnifier is now able to pan smoothly when it is used with large pointers.
The Fast Ring Insiders can also access their Chrome browsing history across all their devices by using the new Chrome extension for Windows Timeline. Finally, the Insider Preview builds now offer the new tamper protection settings that are now available by default.

Windows 10 build 18342 known Issues
Microsoft confirmed that users that currently have Intel64 Family 6 Model 142 and Intel64 Family 6 Model 158 chipsets are expected to face installation issues.
