Microsoft released the latest changes and improvements to Windows 11 22H2 ADK, and the Redmond-based tech giant is looking to improve the battery life on its devices.

The Assessment Toolkit addresses many battery issues, while also coming up with fixes to improve idle hygiene during battery life tests.

You can see all the changes and improvements coming to the Assessment Toolkit below:

  • Updated browsing battery life workloads.
  • Added face authentication metrics and improved reliability of Modern Standby performance assessment.
  • Added new automated diagnostics to battery life jobs (package C-state residency, idle hygiene).
  • Fixed various crashes affecting ETW traces processing of assessment results.
  • Fixed various bugs affecting Media Player automation reliability of media playback performance assessments.
  • Fixed randomly occurring bugs affecting idle hygiene during battery life tests.
  • Fixed missing performance metrics for Microsoft Edge performance assessment due to ETW instrumentation changes.

It seems that Microsoft took the battery issues into its own hands and the company made sure the battery tests won’t run into any troubles from now on.

However, there is more to come to Windows 11 22H2 ADK with the September update.
