Microsoft resumes rollout of Windows 11, version 24H2 to the Release Preview Channel

Just a day after pushing non-security updates for Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2, Microsoft has turned its attention to 24H2. The new optional update, KB5058499, is now available with build 26100.4202, and it brings several feature upgrades and bug fixes.

Click to Do expands with new actions, stylus support, and EU rollout

Click to Do is getting smarter. On both AMD and Intel machines, the app now supports new text actions and adds an “Ask Copilot” button. It’s also rolling out to the European Economic Area with support for Spanish and French. If you use a stylus, you can now assign Click to Do to the shortcut button.

You can now remap the Copilot shortcut (Win + C or Copilot key) and even press and hold to talk directly to it. On Copilot+ PCs, Windows Search now understands natural language and Narrator can generate detailed image descriptions.

Settings updates and smaller UI touches

Microsoft added independent Dolby Vision controls with KB5058499, and you can now stream HDR video even with HDR disabled. The System > About page shows a new FAQ section, and the printer rename UI now matches Windows 11’s modern design. More mouse settings have also moved from Control Panel to Settings > Accessibility > Mouse.
