Fable Launches This Autumn on Xbox, PC, PS5, and Game Pass
Playground Games has finally delivered a full deep dive into Fable at Xbox Developer Direct, confirming it as a complete reboot and a “new beginning” for the franchise. Launching this autumn, the open-world action RPG brings players back to Albion with full freedom to explore from the moment they leave their village.
Classic pillars return in modern form, including morality reworked as a reputation system, fluid “style-weaving” combat that blends melee, magic, and ranged attacks, and full character customization. A Living Population of over 1,000 NPCs reacts dynamically to your choices, keeping British humor and consequence at the heart of the experience.
Kiln (The Surprise 4th Game) Turns Pottery Into a Multiplayer Brawler This Spring
The fourth surprise game everyone talked about last week or so appears to be Klin. It’s apparently “high energy, expressive multiplayer action. Double Fine’s Kiln blends pottery with multiplayer chaos, and somehow makes it work. The team-based party brawler lets you handcraft your own clay fighter, then shatter rivals across mythology-inspired arenas.
Your pot’s size and shape directly affect combat, from speed and durability to special attacks. It’s approachable, physical, and quietly tactical beneath the charm. Kiln launches Spring 2026 for Xbox, PC, PS5, Steam, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, with day-one Xbox Game Pass support.
Beast of Reincarnation Brings One-Person, One-Dog Action RPG This Summer
Beast of Reincarnation is set for Summer 2026 on Xbox, PC, and PS5, day one on Game Pass, and it’s shaping up to be a wild ride. You play as Emma, exploring a post-human Japan overrun with plants and malefactors, creatures fused from flowers and animals. It’s not just about Pokémon, they say. As devs call it, Beast of Reincarnation is a post-apocalyptic “one-person one-dog action RPG” set in Japan.
To take on the eponymous Beast threatening the capital, Emma absorbs power from defeated malefactors while her companion Koo channels energy through “Blooming Art” abilities, letting you blind enemies or unleash giant attacks.
Combat is skill-driven and highly customizable, with katana effect stacking and separate skill trees for Emma and Koo, meaning no two playthroughs feel the same. Traversal is equally key: ruins and overgrown environments demand clever use of Emma’s vine-like hair, while the world itself evolves with seasonal changes. Game Freak focused on evoking warmth, trust, and loneliness in a harsh setting, blending exploration, RPG combat, and companion synergy into a unique experience that fans will want to revisit over and over.
Forza Horizon 6 Goes Big in Japan With Its Largest Map Yet This May on Xbox
Forza Horizon 6 is fully multiplayer, which allows you and your friends collaborate to collect, build, and explore together. It’s a social playground on a massive scale. When you’re in the game, you start as a tourist in Japan before climbing the ranks. Devs hint at obstacles courses, races, and so on. The studio says that it’s their largest map, with hints at Japan being available to zoom around and explore. The game launches on May 19, 2026, first on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The PS5 version is expected to arrive later in the year. That’s all from PlayGround Games for the day!!!
Tokyo City in Forza Horizon 6 is massive — five times larger than anything Playground Games has created before. It’s officially the largest urban environment in the series, which gives players an incredible playground to explore. Different weather and colors as you drive. As you roam the streets, you can collect cars, houses, landmarks, stamps, and other hidden treasures sprinkled across the map. At launch, Forza Horizon 6 boasts more than 550 cars. That’s big.
The devs have sought help from folks in Japan who are aware of all the car culture. The mention of the number 78 in the player’s home options is intentional because, apparently, in Japanese, that translates to good fortune.
