Xbox Experiments With Multi-Platform Game Pass Quest in Microsoft Rewards

Xbox has recently expanded its streaming library with 40 additional titles, but the company is also experimenting with new ways for players to earn rewards.

Users on Reddit report that Xbox has started testing a new Microsoft Rewards monthly quest called “Game Pass monthly multi-platform.” The quest grants 150 Microsoft Rewards points per month and encourages players to use Xbox Game Pass across multiple devices.

A new multi-platform challenge for Game Pass users

To complete the quest, players must play Xbox Game Pass titles on three platforms: console, PC, and cloud. Each platform requires at least 30 minutes of gameplay to count toward progress, pushing users to engage with the full Game Pass ecosystem.

The quest currently appears only for some users, which suggests a limited test. Reports indicate that availability varies even within the same region, including the US, and not all eligible accounts can see it yet.

At the moment, the quest is available only to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Xbox may adjust both point values and requirements before rolling the feature out more broadly.

Small reward, long-term value

While 150 points per month may seem modest, it adds to long-term Microsoft Rewards accumulation, especially for users who already play across multiple platforms. Players who have access can check for the quest in the Xbox Rewards Hub on console, under “My Rewards,” just below the “monthly 8-pack” section.

Beyond Rewards, Xbox continues to face mixed signals. Reports suggest that Xbox revenue is declining even as overall Microsoft revenue remains strong. On the hardware side, deals like the discounted ASUS ROG Xbox Ally may appeal to users interested in streaming and portable play.
