Microsoft has already implemented one of the most requested changes from the new XBOX Player Voice feedback program. One of the biggest requests from players focused on bringing back more exclusives, while another popular request asked XBOX to change playtime tracking from days to total hours.

That second request has now become a reality less than a week after the XBOX Player Voice program launched, according to Pure Xbox.

XBOX playtime will now show total hours

XBOX is changing how playtime statistics appear across profiles and games. Instead of showing total time played in days, the platform will now display total hours.

The update should make stats easier to understand at a glance. It also gives players a more accurate way to compare time spent across different games.

The feature is currently rolling out to select XBOX Insider Alpha users on console first. Microsoft also plans to expand availability to more XBOX Insiders over time.

PC support is already in development and should arrive soon.

XBOX Player Voice is already influencing features

This marks the first shipped feature tied directly to the XBOX Player Voice initiative. The speed of the rollout stands out because Microsoft introduced the feature request system only days ago.

The fast implementation suggests XBOX is paying close attention to highly upvoted community feedback. It could also motivate more players to participate in the program by submitting ideas and voting on requests.

While the playtime change itself is relatively small, it addresses a long-running community complaint that many players felt should have been updated years ago.

Wider rollout expected later

Microsoft has not confirmed an exact release date for all XBOX users yet, but a broader public rollout is expected after Insider testing finishes.

If testing goes smoothly, the feature should eventually appear across both Xbox consoles and PC.

In other news, XBOX is also preparing to add more than 30 new titles to the platform next week.
