Xbox Store Update Finally Adds Much-Requested Game Sorting Options
Earlier this month, Xbox rolled out its February 2026 firmware update, which fixed Remote Play issues related to 720p display settings. The bug had prevented some players from accessing Remote Play entirely when their console resolution was set to 720p, creating frustration for users who rely on cloud and remote features. Now, it appears there’s another Xbox update quietly making life easier; this time inside the Microsoft Store.
Xbox store update adds long-requested sorting options
Microsoft has quietly introduced new sorting tools across the Xbox Store on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Xbox PC app, and web browsers. After years of user requests, players can now sort games by “Price from low to high,” “Price from high to low,” “Discount from high to low,” and “Most Wishlisted.” The update, first spotted by Resetera users, is now live according to folks at TrueAchievements. That said, the Xbox mobile app’s newer store interface still lacks these sorting options.

Previously, bargain hunters had to rely on price filters, which limited flexibility when browsing large sales. With the new “Price from low to high” option, finding the cheapest deals in the “Game Specials” tab becomes far more straightforward. The “Most Wishlisted” filter also offers a clearer snapshot of trending titles, replacing the less reliable “Relevance” sorting that often defaulted to alphabetical listings.
While this may seem like a small update, it is useful. Store navigation has long been a pain point, and better sorting could improve how players discover deals and popular games.
