Accuweather is, without a doubt, one of the best weather apps in the world, be it for Windows, Android or iOS or anything else you might use. If you are not satisfied with the basic weather app inside Windows 10, Windows 8, then you definitely need to have a look at AccuWeather for Windows 10, Windows 8, as it will definitely appeal to you.
The first thing you need to do is to go to the Windows Store and look for the app or you can follow this download link. Before installing the app, you will be required to read the terms and conditions and the privacy statements. After that, obviously, you will be asked to allow AccuWeather to use your location which it needs to display relevant meteo conditions.
Updating your location happens quite fast and you are welcomed by the screen rich in details. The weather animations are pretty nioce and the custom lifestyle forecasts make it very pleasantly to be used. The AccuWeather application for Windows 10, Windows 8 has quite a huge database of locations, being able to provide local weather forecasts for more than 2.7 million locations all over the world, which is pretty amazing, indeed.

Of course, if you are planning a travel to a remote place, then you need to know the exact weather of that place for the following days. AccuWeather provides current weather conditions for the next three days (72 hours). What’s really awesome is that it comes with a forecast for the next 25 days. In my experience of using the app, I can say that it was, indeed, pretty accurate.
AccuWheather will also dispaly health risks if there are some caused by mad weather conditions. Also, it will tell you if the weather is good for your outdoor sports. The weather conditions are being updated once in 15 minutes covering the following details:
- humidity percentages
- UV index
- wind direction
- wind and wind gust speed
AccuWeather has partnered wtih Microsoft to bring Bing Maps inside the app. Also, there is a weather comparison feature built-in for your locations. And the best part? Yes, completely free!
The app recently got a series of new features and improvements. You can now check out the watches and warning layers on the map. Also, depending on the time of the day, an automatic theme will change between light and dark themes.
