Activision Confirms Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Servers Will Shutdown in April 2026

When Activision first introduced Call of Duty: Warzone to smartphones in March 2024, the idea was to bring a large-scale, console-style battle royale experience to players’ pockets. Warzone Mobile looked to replicate the core mechanics of its PC and console counterparts, complete with shared progression and familiar maps.

The servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will shut down on April 17, 2026

In the initial days, that push from Activision seemed promising, with AppMagic estimating $1.4 million in consumer spending within the first four days of launch. However, the studio is now ending that chapter, as Activision has confirmed that servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will shut down on April 17, 2026.

The publisher previously removed the game from iOS and Android app stores last May, stating that it “did not meet expectations” with mobile-first players, despite solid engagement from PC and console audiences. At the time of its delisting, Activision said servers would remain online but confirmed that no new seasonal content or gameplay updates would be released.

Later, Activision also discontinued social features and in-app purchases, hinting at a gradual wind-down rather than an abrupt closure. Once servers go offline in April, guest accounts will no longer be accessible. However, Activision accounts linked to other titles and services will remain active through the company’s websites and supported games.

With servers set to close in less than three months, the question now is whether Activision will attempt another mobile battle royale push in the future or refocus its efforts on platforms where Call of Duty continues to dominate. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
