How can I fix the error code 1017 on Disney Plus?

1. Clear app cache

Android TV or Phone

  1. From the home screen, click Settings.
  2. Select Apps from the list of settings.
  3. Locate Disney Plus from the list of apps, then tap it.
  4. You will get list of options, select Storage > Clear app cache.
  5. Click Clear cache to confirm.

PC

  1. Press the Windows + I to open the Settings app.

2. Power cycle your devices

  1. Remove the power cable from the router.
  2. Leave it as is and wait for 30 seconds to a minute, as this will allow the router to reset any internal processes.
  3. Reconnect the power cable.
  4. Now wait 2 minutes for the router to restart and lights to stabilize. Once it is fully turned on, try accessing Disney Plus on your device again.

3. Change the DNS settings on your device

PC

TV

  1. On the home screen, click the Settings icon.
  2. Select Network & Internet.
  3. Choose the Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection you are connected.
  4. Look for Advanced or IP settings, then change the DHCP(automatic) to Static.
  5. Under Static IP, you will see IP Address, Gateway, and DNS 1 / DNS 2.
  6. For DNS 1, enter 8.8.8.8 and for DNS 2, enter 8.8.4.4.
  7. Click Save.

4. Reinstall the app

TV

  1. From the home screen, locate and click Apps.
  2. Select the Open Google Play Store option.
  3. Locate Disney Plus from the list of apps or use the search function.
  4. Click the Uninstall button.
  5. Now, search for Disney Plus and click Install.

Windows PC

  1. Press the Windows + I to open the Settings app.

  3. If an update is available, click the Install button.

iOS

  1. Open the App Store, search for Disney Plus, and click the Install icon.
  2. From the home screen, locate and tap Disney Plus and select Remove app.
  3. Tap the Delete app option.
