Gears 5 Halo Reach pack not showing

Gears 5 was one of the most expected games, and now that it’s here, players have a lot of problems with it.

It seems that despite working great for some, others experience game bugs and issues, but also problems with multiplayer and the ranking system.

Halo: Reach character skins are missing from Gears 5

Furthermore, many gamers who bought the Game Pass Ultimate are complaining that they didn’t get the Halo: Reach Character Pack:

Hi, why with the Game Pass Ultimate i didn’t get any of the bonus (i got T-800 & sarah connor tho) ?

So I pre ordered/downloaded Gears 5 Ultimate edition through xbox game pass. I got the terminator characters. But I don’t see the Halo Reach characters. I see others using them.

If you didn’t know, the Gears 5 Ultimate edition has some additional perks that are not present in the Standard edition. Among them, there is a Halo Reach Pack included and a 30 day boost.

Some unlucky players didn’t get any of the two:

I also don’t see them. I also don’t have a boost for 30 days which your supposed to have with ultimate edition.

Many other reports confirm that they got nothing from the Ultimate edition.

How can I get Halo: Reach characters in Gears 5?

This issue could be related to accounts and sharing profiles. There isn’t a confirmed solution yet, but you can try the following workaround, as it fixed the issue for some:

  1. Uninstall Gears 5.
  2. Sign out the profile with the Ultimate account.
  3. Reinstall the game from the store and launch it using the sharing profile.

After that, you should get the Halo: Reach Character Pack along with the other perks included in the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition. 

Keep in mind that this is just a workaround and not a long-term solution. We’ll just have to wait and see if there will be a more permanent fix in the future.
