How to Update your PC/Laptop's BIOS with Lenovo Vantage

Lenovo Vantage is a useful driver manager and installer native to Lenovo PCs and laptops that can also perform BIOS updates when necessary. It can also be downloaded to non-Lenovo devices, and it’s available for free on the Microsoft Store.

Aside from the regular driver updates and other managing capabilities, one of the best perks about Lenovo Vantage is its ability to update your device’s BIOS, meaning you won’t ever have to worry about it.

As we all know, updating BIOS on every device is tricky. One mistake can permanently damage the device, but Lenovo Vantage does it automatically; all you need to do is restart your PC.

How to update the BIOS with Lenovo Vantage

1. Open the Lenovo Vantage app.
2. Go to the System Update tab.
3. Click on the Check for Updates button.
   • This will prompt Lenovo Vantage to find all the possible drivers for your device, including the latest BIOS update.
4. Click on Install All Updates.
5. Lenovo Vantage will let you know it will reboot the system; click OK.
6. Wait for the installation process to be finished; your device will restart.

After the installation, you can check the Full History to see what drivers the app installed. However, it’s worth noting that you can skip all the manual work, and opt for the automatic installation of updates, including the BIOS ones.

Lenovo Vantage will let you do this by enabling Auto Update Settings, as shown in the image below.

Make sure the Drivers and other, as well as BIOS and Firmware, are turned on. These include the latest BIOS update for your device, too.
