Key notes
- You'll be able to access Viva Home from microsoft365.com app launcher and app explorer.
- It will be web-based and it will include all of the Microsoft Viva Suite.
- The new platform will most likely integrate other web-based features, including Copilot.
Microsoft Viva will have a new home, Viva Home, starting December 2023, according to a new entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.
Viva Home is the home for the Viva suite on the web. Accessible via microsoft365.com app launcher and app explorer, it provides a single landing destination on the web for Viva users with the goal to help with education, discovery and navigation to licensed Viva modules.
You’ll be able to access Viva Home via microsoft365.com app launcher and app explorer, still, and it will provide a unified destination for the Viva Suite on the web.
For now, the rollout is scheduled to take place in December 2023, but Microsoft doesn’t say how long it will last. However, the feature will be generally available everywhere.
Viva Home: The Viva suite on the web
It’s important to note that you’ll be able to use Viva Home to access all the Microsoft Viva suite on the web in one single place, without having to cross from one panel to the other.
While Microsoft doesn’t go into too many details, Viva Home will most probably be designed with simple navigation in mind. The landing page will most probably offer you all you need to know, and then it will guide you to the tools you need to focus on your work.
Since it’s a web-based platform, Viva Home will most probably integrate more web-based features, such as Teams Chats, OneDrive capabilities, and even Copilot, to a degree.
This way, you’ll be able to access it from your device anywhere, and Viva Home will also make it possible for you to be mobile with your work. Since it’s a web-based platform, as long as you have a proper Internet connection, you won’t have to worry about not knowing where you start.
It will all be there, on one single web page.
Are you excited about Viva Home? Do you think it will be better than the current layout or not?
