RTX 5070 Ti Prices Surge at US Retailers Despite NVIDIA Denials

Rumors that GeForce RTX 5070 Ti production would stop have circulated for weeks, but both NVIDIA and ASUS have publicly denied those claims. Despite the denials, retail pricing tells a different story, with clear signs pointing to tightening supply and rising costs for buyers.

Retail listings point to a limited supply and aggressive pricing

As spotted by VideoCardz, a major U.S. retailer now shows RTX 5070 Ti listings climbing into four-digit territory. This outcome does not come as a surprise. Several board partners, including ZOTAC, previously warned that an NVIDIA GPU shortage was likely as demand remained high across multiple segments.

Many current listings resemble scarcity pricing rather than standard add-in-board partner premiums, suggesting that availability rather than features now drives costs.

Pricing behavior at Best Buy highlights the trend. Multiple mainstream partner models sit well above $1,000, while only a small number remain close to the $999 level. Retail patterns suggest either limited allocation, aggressive third-party seller pricing, or a mix of both.

Retail pricing systems appear to react quickly to low supply and sustained demand, regardless of official statements. Denials from NVIDIA and ASUS do not guarantee healthy inventory, as small shipment volumes can still push prices higher once stock tightens.

Some RTX 5070 Ti models remain available in the $859–$839 range, often tied to mail-in rebates. These offers mostly apply to Ventus variants, which remain less popular and lack a strong reputation for cooling performance.

So far, neither NVIDIA nor ASUS has commented on the recent price increases. The situation also reflects broader market pressure, as reports indicate DDR4 memory prices are rising alongside growing demand for DDR5, adding further strain to overall PC component pricing.
