If you’re a Sling user, you might have experienced Sling error 28-29 on your device. This is a common problem that will prevent you from playing any content, so let’s see how we can fix it.
How can I fix Sling error 28-29?
Before we try more complex solutions be sure to try restarting the app or your streaming device and check if that solves the problem.
1. Update your Sling app
- On the Fire TV home screen, go to Applications.
- Locate the Sling TV app.
- Look for the Update button and select it.
- Choose Update App Now and wait for the process to finish.
These instructions are for Fire TV, but if you’re using a different streaming device the process will differ.
2. Disable ad blocker
- In Chrome click the Menu icon and choose Extensions and then Manage Extensions.
- Next, locate the adblock extension and click the switch next to it.
- Check if the problem is resolved.
If you’re using a different device, ensure that your software or hardware ad blocker is disabled.
Sling error 28-29 can be troublesome to fix, but if you encounter it be sure to try these simple steps. If the issue persists, you might have to contact Sling support.
