Minecraft and Twitch are among the most popular sandbox video game and streaming platforms, respectively. However, while using the Twitch client to install Minecraft, you may encounter the Twitch addon install error and Minecraft installation error.

1. Increase memory allocation

  4. Set it to 7500MB and click OK to save the changes.
  5. Next, go to File >  Settings again and open Addons.

  7. Save the changes and restart the Twitch client.

The addon install error can occur if the Twitch client is incorrectly configured. Several users have reported that changing the memory allocation size and Addon backup settings have helped them resolve the issue.

  1. Launch the Twitch client.
  2. Go to File > Settings.

2. Uninstall and change Twitch file path

  2. Press Windows Key + R.
  3. Typ appwiz.cpl and click OK to open Control Panel.
  4. Select  Twitch from the installed apps.
  5. Click on Uninstall and confirm by clicking on Yes.

2.1 Reinstall Twitch client

  1. Right-click on the Twitch installer and select Run as Admin.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  3. Once installed, we need to change the file path.
