Some users utilize their web browsers to open PDF documents. However, users can’t open PDF XFA form documents with browsers that don’t support that type of dynamic form.

Adobe Acrobat is one of the most commonly used applications to open Portable Document Format files, but some users have encountered issues with it.

How can I open a PDF document when the Please wait error arises?

1. Configure Firefox to utilize Adobe Acrobat Reader

  1. Download and install Acrobat Reader.
  2. Next, open Mozilla Firefox.
  3. Click the Open menu.
  4. Select Options.

  5. Scroll down to the General tab’s Applications section.
  6. Select Portable Document Format (PDF).
  7. Click the Action drop-down menu and click the Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) option.
  8. Then restart Firefox.

2. Open the PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader

  1. Right-click the download link for the PDF you can’t open with your browser.

  3. Enter a title for the PDF in the File name box.
