Now you can preinstall Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be officially released on November 19 and if you want to learn about all the new goodness, read our extensive article about it. If you already pre-ordered it or you’re planning to do so before the release day, Microsoft is throwing in an advantage to stay ahead.

If you want to avoid the huge server line, Microsoft announced on Reddit that you can pre-install the game from Microsoft Store.

However, keep in mind that you won’t actually install the full game which requires at least 50 GB of hard drive space. The gamers who performed this step reported that you only download a preloader of 12 MB.

The only idea behind the preloader is that when the full game is launched, you will be first in line to make the update and install the game.

Some gamers also asked if they will be able to download the full game on another PC if they install the preloader on their current PC, and the short answer is yes. Whether you bought the game on Microsoft Store or Steam, you will be able to install the game on any machine if you login with the account you used to purchase the game.

Of course, you can perform this step even with a few hours before the full release, but it’s a sure way to go to avoid the situation where you forget about the event.

Did you install the preloader? Tell us about your experience in the comments below.
