4. Repair registry entry issues

  1. Left-click the Start button, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  2. Copy and paste the following path into the Registry Editor directory address bar and press Enter: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
  3. Find the WUServer and WIStatusServer from the right-hand pane, right-click them, and click Delete.
