If Fire TV is not in full screen mode, you might not be able to enjoy your favorite shows properly.

This is a small but rather inconvenient issue, and in today’s guide, we will show you a few methods to help you fix this problem.

How do I make Fire TV full screen?

Before trying to fix this problem, there are a couple of preliminary checks to perform:

  • Open Playback Settings while playing videos and change the Display Mode.
  • Use your TV remote, and try using a different Aspect ratio or picture size for your TV or disable the Overscan feature.
  • Make sure to connect Fire TV directly to your TV. Many users reported this issue while using the AV amp.

1. Use the Settings menu from the Fire TV remote

  1. Go to the Settings menu by pressing and holding the Home button.
  2. Choose the Display & Sounds from the options.
  3. Select Display.
  4. Choose Calibrate Display from the Display options. This way you can calibrate to view the display in full screen.
  5. Press the UP and DOWN buttons from the remote to adjust the display.
  6. Press the Accept button when you change the screen size.

So, with these easy steps, you can fix the Amazon Fire Stick screen calibration issue. If the method didn’t work, try the next one.

2. Use the Screen Magnifier

  1. Hold Back and Fast Forward buttons at the same time.
  2. Turn the Zoom feature on by holding the Menu and Play/Pause buttons.
  3. Zoom in or out by holding the Menu button and Fast Forward or Rewind buttons respectively.

3. Adjust aspect ratio

  1. Go to Inputs and select the input you’re not currently using.
  2. Press Settings and go down to the Picture.
  3. Next, locate Screen Settings.
  4. Set it to Native, 16:9, or any other value that works for you.

How do I reset my Firestick screen?

It’s not possible just to reset the Firestick screen. If you want to reset its settings, you must reset the entire device. You can do that by holding the Back button and the right side of the navigation circle for 10 seconds.
