Fix – ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC Windows 10 error

Solution 1 – Update Windows 10 and all your drivers

Windows 10 might have few issues with certain older hardware and software, and in order to fix those issues, it’s important that you download and install latest patches by using Windows Update. Many of these patches offer security improvements and various bug fixes related to both hardware and software, therefore if you want to fix BSoD errors such as ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC, it’s important that you keep Windows 10 up to date.

In addition to Windows updates, it’s also important to keep your drivers up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can often cause stability issues and BSoD errors, so it’s crucial that you update them as often as you can. Updating drivers is fairly simple, and you can download all the necessary drivers right from your hardware manufacturer.

According to users, your Wi-Fi adapter can often cause these types of errors, and there are reports that outdated touchpad drivers can cause these issues on Windows 10 laptops. Almost any driver can cause these types of problems, and in order to fix them, it’s highly recommended to update all your drivers.

Update drivers automatically

Searching for drivers on your own can be time-consuming. So, we advise you to use a tool that will do this for you automatically. Using an automatic driver updater will certainly save you from the hassle of searching for drivers manually, and it will always keep your system up to date with the latest drivers.

Tweakbit’s Driver Updater (approved by Microsoft and Norton Antivirus) will help you update drivers automatically and prevent PC damage caused by installing the wrong driver versions. After several tests, our team concluded that this is the best-automatized solution.
