Many users are wondering if you can swap left/right with Realtek Audio Console, this might not be possible, but there are a few workarounds you can use instead.

How can I swap left/right in Realtek Audio Console?

1. Create a config file for Equalizer APO

  1. Download Equalizer APO.
  2. Start the installation and choose your Realtek audio device during the setup.
  3. Once the software is installed, navigate to C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\
  4. Open config.txt or create it.
  5. Add the following line at the end of the file: SwapChannels: L=R R=L
  6. Save changes and restart your PC.

2. Configure Equalizer APO manually

  1. Press the Windows key + S and look for the configuration editor. Run the software.
  2. Next, select your Realtek device in the Device section.

  3. Click the Plus icon. Next, choose Basic filters and then Copy (Copy between channels).

  4. Select the Note icon on the right side.
  5. Next, click on Add assignment.
  6. Set Channel to L and set it equal to R.
  7. Create a new assignment and set R to L this time.
  8. Go to File and select Save.

3.  Switch the cables on your speakers

  1. Look at the back of your speakers.
  2. Connect the red cable to the white socket and the white cable to the red socket.
  3. After that, your speakers will be swapped.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to swap left/right with Realtek Audio Console or any Realtek software, and if you want to do this, you need to manually reverse your cables, or you can use Equalizer APO.

This isn’t the only issue with this software, and many reported that Realtek Audio Console cannot connect to RPC, while for some Realtek Audio Console is grayed out.
