Microsoft has started this week with two builds for Windows 11 Insiders in the Dev and Beta channels. Dev Channel users get Build 26200.5661, while Beta Channel testers receive Build 26120.4452. Both releases bring a handful of updates focused on personalization and control.
Recall is getting a visual refresh. The new home page shows a timeline of your recent activity, highlighting your top three apps and websites from the past 24 hours. It also introduces a sidebar for quicker navigation between Home, Timeline, Feedback, and Settings. The idea is to make jumping back into tasks faster and more intuitive.
Another subtle but long-requested tweak is the ability to reposition system indicators. Brightness and volume sliders no longer have to appear in the middle of the screen. You can now shift them to the top-left or top-center by going to Settings > System > Notifications.
On the Start menu side, Microsoft is updating how pinned apps are handled in managed environments. Admins can now push a layout once without locking it, so users will still be able to rearrange or remove those pins later.
Over in File Explorer, the AI actions feature is rolling out again after briefly disappearing in recent builds. Lastly, under the Language & Region settings, users can now see the country or region they selected during device setup.
