 1. Cancel printing process

  1. From your Start Menu look for Printers & Scanners.

  3. From the Printer menu, click on Cancel All Documents.
  4. You can now proceed in removing your printer.

2. Disable your Spooler Service

  1. From your Start Menu, open the Run.

  3. Now look for the Spooler Service in the list, and double click on it.
  4. Once the Properties tab is open, click on Stop, and then press OK.

3. Registry edit

  1. From the Start Menu look for Run and then type in regedit and press Enter.
  2. Now you’re going to click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Printers, followed by Connections.

  4. Save your changes and exit the registry.

4. Uninstall your printer

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Look for the printer you wish to remove and click on Uninstall Device.
