Windows 11 Backup Error: Causes & How to Fix it

1. Press the Windows key, type cmd on the search bar, and click Run as administrator.
2. Type in the following command then press Enter: chkdsk:/f
3. Next, type in the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow

4. Update outdated drivers

1. Press the Windows key, search Check for updates, and click Open.
2. Select Advanced options.
3. Go to Optional updates.
4. Select Driver updates and proceed to Download & install then restart your system.

6. Delete the WindowsImageBackup folder

1. Press the Windows key + E to start File Explorer and navigate to the following location: C:\System Volume Information\
2. Locate the WindowsImageBackup folder and delete it.

7. Uninstall recent system updates

1. Press the Windows + I keys simultaneously to open Settings.
2. Navigate to Windows Updates then select Update history.
3. Click on Uninstall updates.
4. Select the most recent update then click Uninstall.
