1. Reset your router

  1. First, look for the small reset button on your router. The reset button will usually be on the back of the router.

Users with third-party firewall software installed should disable them. You can disable antivirus utilities that incorporate firewalls by right-clicking their system tray icons and selecting disable context menu options.

4. Clean boot Windows 10

  1. Right-click Windows 10’s Start button and select Run on the menu that opens.
  2. Type msconfig in Run and press Enter to open the window in the snapshot directly below.

  4. Uncheck the Load startup items checkbox to deselect it.
  5. Make sure the Load system services and Use original boot configuration settings are selected.
  6. Then click the Services tab shown directly below.

  8. Press the Disable all button.
  9. Select the Apply option.
  10. Click OK to exit MSConfig, and press Restart when the dialog box opens.
