  • The Facebook error performing query occurs when users attempt to post, update, or modify their accounts.
  • The error is caused by a server-side issue and is usually not related to the device of the users.
  • You may encounter the error if you log in using multiple accounts, however, this is temporary.

Facebook is currently the king of social media platforms, and the company has mainly managed to keep the service bug-free. However, Facebook constantly grows and expands its features, making it unstable.

The Facebook error performing query error has recently started popping up for more and more users, affecting the platform’s stability. We have another great guide that will help you in case Facebook is not working at all on Windows.

Why am I getting the error when performing queries on Facebook?

Here are the common reasons you get the error:

How we test, review and rate?

We have worked for the past 6 months on building a new review system on how we produce content. Using it, we have subsequently redone most of our articles to provide actual hands-on expertise on the guides we made.

For more details you can read how we test, review, and rate at WindowsReport.

  • Issues with the server: If the Facebook servers are facing an outage, you won’t be able to perform a query.
  • Corrupt cache: A corrupt Facebook cache can also be the reason behind the error.
  • Bug on Facebook: It could also be a bug preventing you from performing a query, and you can report it to the Facebook Support team.
  • Outdated app: Running an outdated version of the Facebook app, be it on a PC or mobile, can trigger the error. This may also be the reason Facebook Dating is not showing up.

Why did Facebook block me from the marketplace?

Here are a few reasons you might have been blocked from Facebook Marketplace:

  • Violation of policy: An account can get blocked due to a violation of Facebook Marketplace Policies. So, you should first verify whether that’s the case.
  • Unusual activity: Facebook can block users if it detects unusual activity on the account.
  • Profile reported by another user: If you got blocked, there’s a chance that another user reported your profile on the platform. In this case, you must take it up with the support team.

What are the most common Facebook issues?

The most common Facebook issues result from poor browser and server communication.

If you have a poor Internet connection, some of the data may not be sent, causing your Facebook client to become unresponsive.

Occasionally, the platform also performs maintenance tasks, which may prevent you from logging into your account for a short period of time.

If Facebook Messenger is not working, the issues do not result from a server-side malfunction. Wait for 30 minutes and reload the page.

Mobile Facebook clients or apps can also start crashing after a big operating system update. This is a local issue caused by errors in the application’s files.

If your app starts crashing randomly, the best solution is to delete and reinstall it from the Play Store. We have to mention that this issue is quite similar to the GraphQL unauthorized error that we covered recently, so don’t miss it.
