How to Still Use TikTok After the U.S. Ban

TikTok was banned in the U.S. with around 170 million users affected. For a lot of businesses selling their products on the platform, this is a big problem. The app stores will also be banned from offering the TikTok app for download. However, in the digital era, it is pretty hard to ban a whole platform, especially when it will live on in many other countries and regions. Here’s how you will be able to use TikTok even after the ban in the U.S.

How do I keep using TiKTok in the U.S. after the ban?

1. By using a browser with a VPN

One of the tricks you can pull to keep using TikTok is to watch the content on a browser with a built-in VPN. There are a couple of browsers with free VPN that will instantly help you with that and Opera would be the best immediate choice because it also works on mobile devices.

However, there is a catch. You will not be able to use your U.S. located account. Unfortunately, you will have to create a new one and start all over again. If you’re log in by using your phone number, you will have to forget about it because the app can track and locate you even if you’re using a VPN.

2. By using a VPN on your device

3. By buying a phone from Canada

Although we’re going to extremes here, if you’re a content creator or service provider, you might consider taking a trip to Canada and buying a phone just for this purpose. Then, you will be able to use the country settings and phone number just for this purpose alone.

Even so, you will still need to turn off the phone location services because the physical tracking will still pinpoint you within the U.S. territory.

The TikTok app updates will definitely be a problem if the provider identifies that you’re located in the U.S.
