Microsoft OneNote is a notetaking application that allows users to create and organize their notes, drawings, and audio comments. The application supports collaboration, allowing you to easily share your notes with other OneNote users. Although OneNote supports collaboration, it’s important to mention that it can be used offline, and all your changes will be uploaded to the cloud once you connect to the Internet.
OneNote was first released in 2003 as a part of Microsoft Office suite, but nowadays OneNote is available as a free and standalone application for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. The web version is also available as a component of OneDrive and Office for the web.
It’s worth mentioning that OneNote 2016 will be discontinued in the future, however, the standalone free version will remain available.
