Microsoft continues to improve the Edge browser’s shopping experience, and its latest addition gives users more control over automatic price tracking and notifications. This newly introduced setting aims to simplify online shopping and ensure users never miss a deal. It highlights opportunities where products can be tracked, allowing users to stay informed about potential savings without manually checking each product.
Microsoft Edge supports price tracking on shopping sites and offers price drop notifications. This feature helps users stay informed about price changes and ensures they can take advantage of the best deals.
By enabling the “save time and money with shopping in Microsoft Edge” setting in Edge, users can automatically track prices for products and receive notifications when prices drop.
This setting enables Edge to help users ” find coupons, cashback, and other savings while shopping. It also identifies alternative product offers and uses browsing history and page content to improve the shopping experience.”
Microsoft Edge’s Show opportunities to track product prices setting
The new setting, “Show opportunities to track product prices,” further improves the shopping experience by automatically identifying when a product can be tracked and notifying users when the price drops. This feature is currently available in the Canary version of Microsoft Edge.
The newly introduced price tracking setting provides users with more control over price tracking, making it easier to manage notifications for price drops. It simplifies the process of tracking product prices, saving users time and effort.
How to enable the automatic Price Tracking Setting in Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge
- Go to the settings.
- Navigate to the “Privacy, search, and services” section.
- Look for the new setting “Show opportunities to track product prices” under the services and toggle it on.
Apart from this, after introducing the new Copilot, Microsoft has removed shopping notifications for it. If you don’t like the new Copilot UI, you can revert to the old Copilot UI with this trick.
