USB

USB, or Universal Serial Bus, is a standard which defines connectors, cables and communication protocols used in a bus for communication between computers and other electronic devices.
USB standardized the connection of computer devices such as keyboards, mice, cameras, printers, network adapters etc.. to PC, permitting communication and electric power supply.
In the past few years, USB has become commonplace on smartphones and video game consoles replacing a large amount of interfaces, such as old power charges for portable devices.
