Below are some of the new features of Windows 7:
- Support for virtual hard disks
- Support for additional file formats

- Enhanced compatibility with SSD drives
Windows 7 was updated several times, and each update has its own name and carries unique features. They are as follows:
- Service Pack 1
- Platform Update
- Disk Cleanup update
- Windows Management Framework 5.0
- Convenience rollup
The first four brought new features and fixes to Windows 7, and Convenience rollup contains all patches released until April 2016. It was not available on Windows Update, and it could be installed only manually.
