Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox Series X and Series S consoles are available in 40 markets around the world today, with more to come in the near future. We’ve already reviewed the Xbox Series X last week, and we plan to follow up with an Xbox Series S review pretty soon. Microsoft has more than 30 Xbox Series X|S optimized games on launch day, with various Xbox Game Studios titles such as Gears 5, Gears Tactics, Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The game is a new take on the classic Tetris video game but features a surreal visual design that reacts in real-time with the gameplay on screen. The original Tetris Effect video game has been available on other platforms for a while but this is the first time that it’s launched on an Xbox console. This new Xbox version, Tetris Effect: Connected, contains the content as the base Tetris Effect but also includes new local and online single and multiplayer modes.

Ping and FPS are two things we always tend to keep an eye on while playing online games. Well, a small portion of the corner of the eye, or a quick glimpse when things seem to get critical, at least.

You can’t afford to spend the whole match watching numbers, else you’d end up as a bottom feeder.

Anyway, many confuse these two critical components and believe them to be closely tied. While this is not completely wrong, confusing ping and FPS can slow down your progress if you’re trying to fix either one of them.

What is ping?

To put it shortly, ping is a computer utility that many rely on to test whether certain hosts are reachable or not. Additionally, ping can also help you determine how fast a host’s response time is (considering the host is up and running, that is).

The way ping works is it sends a small packet of data to another device. The device in cause generates a reply and sends it back to the original device (your PC).

After the response arrives, ping calculates the time it took the data packet to complete the round-trip (from your PC to the remote server and back). The value generated by the ping test is called latency, and is expressed in milliseconds.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate get 30-day Disney+ trial, 7 EA Play games on Android

Microsoft has some exciting Xbox Game Pass news ahead of the launch of its Xbox Series X and Series S consoles tomorrow. First of all, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can enjoy a free 30-day trial of Disney+, with unlimited access to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic content.

Disney+ is available on Xbox consoles and many other platforms including PCs, phones, tablets, and Smart TVs. Thie free trial will only be available for new subscribers in the following 18 markets: US, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

This is a great free perk as the second season of the critically-acclaimed Star Wars-themed TV Series The Mandalorian has just started airing on Disney+. Microsoft previously offered free subscriptions to Spotify Premium and Discord Nitro to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, and it will be interesting to see what’s next.

In addition to this Disney+ free trial, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will also get access to the EA Play catalog on Xbox One starting tomorrow. EA’s game subscription service will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on December 15 at no additional cost. The new EA Desktop app that’s currently in beta will be required to download EA games on Windows 10 PCs.

In the meantime, EA Play on Xbox One currently includes 89 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games from great franchises such as Titanfall, Battlefield, Dead Space, Mass Effect, FIFA, Madden, and more. The following seven games will also be available on Android via Cloud Gaming starting tomorrow:

Global and security admins can now enjoy a new Microsoft Forms phishing attempt review feature in Microsoft 365.

To be more precise, Microsoft introduced automated machine reviews to detect the malicious collection of private data in forms and block them from collecting responses.

Therefore, Microsoft Forms is your chance to collect data with ease and make more inspired decisions, with no phishing threats to worry about. That’s what Microsoft reveals:

If you’re a global and/or security administrator, we send you daily notifications of any form created within your tenant that has been detected and blocked for potential phishing

How can I unblock or confirm phishing in Microsoft Forms?

  1. At first, sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
  2. Find your way to the Message center. While there, look for the notification that says Prevent/Fix: Microsoft Forms Detected Potential Phishing.Microsoft Forms
  3. If you cannot find this notification in the All active messages tab/view, look for it in the Dismissed messages tab/view instead.
  4. Up next, you may click on the Forms admin review URL link in the notification to review blocked forms.
  5. For every single form that you review, feel free to select the Unblock option if you don’t believe the form has malicious intent or Confirm phishing if you suspect the opposite.

As you can see, as an IT admin, you can examine all forms tagged as phishing attempts with ease. Moreover, if you want to edit or delete the blocked content, you can generate a co-authoring page.
