VMware upgraded its Fusion and Workstation products, adding support for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Windows Server 2016. For the time being, support for the Anniversary Update is available and support for Windows Server 2016 will become available when Fusion is launched.
VMware is going to release the new versions of its products on September 7 to all users. The releases will also support multiple VMs in a single window and will bring bug fixes and overall performance improvements as well.

Microsoft has just released the Windows Insider build 21387 for Dev Channel Insiders, which includes no new features and actually removes two things from the OS. The soon-to-be-retired Internet Explorer 11 is gone in this build, and so is the new “Eco mode” feature in Task Manager that made its debut in an April 21 flight.
The new Eco Mode in Task Manager could throttle process resources for certain apps to give the priority to other activities, but the Windows Insider team has removed it in this build “in order to refine the experience and address several issues thanks to Windows Insider feedback.” Today’s build 21387 also brings various bug fixes and you can check the full list below:

To help these students on their learning journey, we are excited to announce that Microsoft Math Solver will be available as a preview feature starting with Microsoft Edge 91 stable,” the Microsoft Edge Team explained.
To try Math Solver, you’ll need to head to the Settings menu (…) available in the top right corner of Microsoft Edge, select the “More Tools” option, and then click Math Solver. Now open a math problem and use the Math Solver selection tool to highlight it. Finally, click on the “Solve button” to get an instant solution in the sidebar. You can also click the “Show solution steps” button to check the step-by-step instructions.
In addition to the selection tool, students can also use the keyboard to type the problem statement in the Math Solver section manually. The Math Solver feature also provides learning resources, including online videos, quizzes, and worksheets, to help the students better understand a specific topic.
Math Solver is currently only available for Insiders as a preview feature in Microsoft Edge 91 or higher, although Microsoft says that it’s “exploring the possibility of including the feature permanently” in an upcoming stable release. As usual, the Edge Insider team will be collecting feedback to improve the experience for students looking for help in a hybrid learning environment.

Microsoft has been slowly but surely improving .NET over the course of the last five years. These efforts have not gone unnoticed by the development team over at Unity. However keeping up with the latest release and features of .NET has not been happening, but that’s about to begin to change, according to a thread on the Unity forums:
Unity’s fork of Mono is about two years behind the latest upstream code.
So this effort pulls in many bug fixes from upstream Mono.
It also improves the managed debugger.
It will allow Mono to run in 32-bit floating point mode, improving floating point performance.
It brings in more .NET Core class library implementation, including many changes to the way the class library code interacts with platform-specific code.

Some of the notable changes include added support for .NET Standard 2.1, C# 8 support and soon after C# 9 support as well.
.NET 6 support further away on the horizon. This addition is a huge step forward, however it is a breaking change. The Unity team does not have a firm idea of when it will be delivered, but once implemented it will pave the way to being able to quickly bring on new features and fixes.
At the end of the day these changes mean improved performance, stability and ease of use. This progress is great news for .NET developers, as Microsoft evolves .NET its great to see partners like Unity keeping up with these changes. Chances are some of the video games you’ve played in the last 15 years have been powered by Unity, so these benefits will undoubtedly mean better games for all of us to enjoy.
