How to enable DLSS in Battlefield 5?

Open the Graphics Setting menu within the Battlefield 5 game.
If Direct 12 is not already enabled, you’ll need to enable that setting and restart Battlefield 5.

How to Reinstall League of Legends With 2 Easy Methods

With immersive play and vivid graphics, this MOBA has changed the way we experience PvP gaming.

However, there’s never been complex software without technical issues. That is the case with League of Legends, too.

Most of the reported issues have a specific set of solutions and fixes. Some of them are widespread while others are less so.

Nevertheless, there is a last resort to every technical issue and it’s called a reinstall. You can fix your errors with the game if you reinstall League of Legends.

How can I reinstall League of Legends?

We prepared a walkthrough for you with a step-by-step explanation of the reinstallation process using 2 different methods.

1. Reinstall League of Legends using Hextech Repair Tool

The developer of the League of Legends, Riot Games, launched an interesting software solution to fix common technical issues related to the game. It is called Hextech Repair Tool and its main features are:

Easy reinstallation or repatch
Firewall management
Restores the health of nearby turrets.
Display the known issues in your region.

Hextech Repair Tool can perform a clean reinstall of your client in a few simple steps. All you need is to follow the instructions on the screen.

2. Reinstall League of Legends manually

If you encountered errors with your League Client and the game does not work properly, you can perform a manual game reinstallation.

In doing so, you need to uninstall the game from Control Panel, then download and install the newest version from the official League of Legends website.

1. Open the Start menu on your computer by pressing the Windows key.
2. Select Control Panel from the list of results.
3. Click on Programs and Features.
4. Scroll down until you find League of Legends in the list. Click on it.
5. Select Uninstall/Remove.
6. The uninstall process will begin. Follow the instruction until the process is finished.
7. Navigate to the directory where League of Legends was installed (the C: drive by default).
8. Delete the old setup files you used to install the game and any unnecessary registry files.
9. Restart the PC.

After you finished the entire uninstallation process, the next step is downloading and installing the game’s client.
10. Download the latest version of League of Legends from the official website.
11. Run LeagueofLegends.exe to download the setup files. These will be placed in a new League of Legends folder on your desktop by default.
12. After the setup finishes downloading, the installation process will begin automatically. If possible, install League of Legends to the default C: drive. Though, you can change it in custom install.
13. When the installation process finishes, the game’s launcher will open automatically.
14. If the game does not automatically start, you can manually open it by double-clicking the League of Legends desktop shortcut, or by running lol.launcher.exe in the directory to which you installed League of Legends.

In an odd bug, Uber receipts are crashing Outlook on Windows

If you’re someone that takes a lot of Uber rides and uses Outlook on Windows to file and print receipts, then we have a fair warning for you. Noted by Bleeping Computer, there is an ongoing issue with Outlook where the client on Windows might crash when you try to open emails with complex tables.

Microsoft actually has a support page for this, first published on July 29, and mentions that the issue started in the Current Channel version 2206 Build 15330.20196 and higher. The same issue also happens in current builds of Beta and Current Channel Preview. It even applies to Word, where similar table contents might cause Word to stop responding.

Officially, Microsoft is working on a fix that should come out on Patch Tuesday, timed for August 9, 2022. The fix is from the Word Team, and will be released to the Beta channel first. In the meantime, you can workaround any issues you have by reverting the Outlook build to a previous version. Here’s how.

Microsoft announces two new Defender products for businesses

Microsoft has announced two new products under the Microsoft Defender lineup. Designed for businesses, and powered by their acquisition of cyber security company RiskIQ, Microsoft hopes the new Defender Threat Intelligence, and Defender External Attack Surface Management can aim to help companies reduce their chances of getting hit by cyber-attacks.

We’ll begin by getting into the details of Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence. This new product is all about offering real-time data from Microsoft’s security signals. It builds on the real-time detections of Microsoft Sentinel. and lets organizations hunt for threats more broadly, and helps them uncover more adversaries. According to Microsoft:

Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence maps the internet every day, providing security teams with the necessary information to understand adversaries and their attack techniques. Customers can access a library of raw threat intelligence detailing adversaries by name, correlating their tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs), and can see active updates within the portal as new information is distilled from Microsoft’s security signals and experts. Defender Threat Intelligence lifts the veil on the attacker and threat family behavior and helps security teams find, remove, and block hidden adversary tools within their organization.

Opera Download Stuck at 100%: How to Get it Working Again

If the download in Opera gets stuck at 100%, you won’t be able to download any files or run them. This is a major problem, but the solution is already available.

Why is my download stuck at 100% in Opera?

This can happen due to Opera VPN, your antivirus/firewall settings or due to corrupted Opera settings and installation.

What can I do if the Opera download gets stuck at 100%?

1. Disable Opera VPN

Open Opera and navigate to the following path: opera://settings/vpnWithDisclaimer
Make sure that your VPN is disabled.
Restart the browser and try again.

2. Disable background programs

Open the Task Manager window.
Switch to Task Manager’s Startup tab.
Select a non-essential program listed in the Startup tab.
Click the Disable option to remove it from the startup.
Repeat the previous two steps for all superfluous startup software.
Click Task Manager’s Processes tab.
Select unneeded third-party background programs and apps there, and click End task to close them.
Then try downloading it in Opera One again.

3. Turn off antivirus software

Locate your antivirus in the system tray and right-click it.
Choose the option to disable it.
Try to download the file again.

If the download works, it’s check your antivirus settings and make sure nothing is interfering with it.

4. Disable Windows Defender Firewall

Click the Start taskbar icon in Windows with the mouse’s right button and select Search.
Type Windows Defender Firewall in the search box, and select that applet.
Select the Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off link inside the Control Panel applet.
Click the Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended) radio buttons, and select OK to save.

5. Reset the Opera One browser

Click Customize and Control Opera One, then Settings to bring up that browser’s primary options tab.
Scroll down and click Advanced.
Then scroll to the bottom of the tab to click Restore settings to their original defaults.
Select the Reset button to restore Opera One’s default configuration.

Expand the Opera 36 section by clicking on the Plus (+) button.
Hit the Download the offline package button.

How do I fix Microsoft Sway when it doesn’t work?

1. Use the Microsoft Store app troubleshooter

Click on the Start menu and open the Settings app.
Under the Systems menu, select Troubleshoot from the left pane.
Click on Other troubleshooters.
Now under Windows Store Apps and click on Run.
Once the troubleshooter starts, follow the instructions on the screen.
After the troubleshooter is finished, check if the problem is still there.

If the Microsoft Sway app isn’t working, you might fix it by using the Microsoft Store app troubleshooter.

2. Use the Sway website instead

Optional: Log out from OneDrive and close all browsers.
